Activity - Learn about an endangered species

Completion requirements

Many species are threatened with extinction in Aotearoa New Zealand and around the world.

You can use the IUCN Red List or the NZ Threat Classification System to learn how species are classified in terms of their risk of becoming extinct.

In this activity you can find out about a species from the list of animals that are currently endangered or critically endangered.

Try to choose an animal species that you do not already know much about.
