Activity - Reducing pollution problems

Completion requirements

Walk around your neighbourhood or a local wild place picking up rubbish and keep a record of the different types of waste you are finding.

Try to do a litter pick up on regular basis, such as once a week or once a month.

Keep a record of what you find, using notes or photos.

What could do you to encourage others to help pick up litter in wild places?

Now find out about a local native species that would benefit from having less pollution in that area. Is it a fish, a bird, insects, or plants?

To think more about what you can do to reduce plastic pollution try out the downloadable activity sheet.
